About this video
A small mouse wearing shorts cheerfully pilots a paddle-wheel steamboat until the large, imposing cat-like captain takes over and roughly removes him from the bridge. At Podunk Landing, a female mouse in a skirt and hat narrowly misses the boat's departure, but the small mouse uses a crane to lift her onto the deck. A series of musical antics ensues after a black goat consumes the female mouse's sheet music and guitar, leading the mice to use the goat and other farm animals as makeshift instruments. Their impromptu performance is cut short when the captain returns and punishes the small mouse by forcing him to peel potatoes in the ship's hold, where a black parrot mocks his misfortune.
